Suggested tax treatment NEEDS INPUT

Select a country and tax status to see a suggested tax setup. Suggestions never apply tax on their own.

Tax treatment can depend on registration status, transaction type and jurisdiction. Country presets are provided to help configure invoices and are not tax advice.

What is a credit note?

A credit note records a full or partial credit associated with an original invoice.

When to use it

Enter the original invoice number, reason and credited items or amounts; review that the credit does not exceed the source total.

Workflow: Start with the invoice available in this browser and use Create credit note or Create from Invoice to prepare a separate draft. Choose the reason and full or partial scope, then check the source reference and credited amounts; this tool does not issue a refund.

Key fields

  • Credit Note No: and the date fields appropriate to this document.
  • Business and counterparty details, with country and currency settings where relevant.
  • Document-specific rows and optional notes, references or terms.
  • Status choices: Draft, Issued, Applied, Cancelled.

How to create one

  1. Review the editable example and enter the parties, reference and dates.
  2. Add or adjust the document rows; confirm quantities, amounts and country settings when relevant.
  3. Review the document-specific preview, then download the PDF or use Print.
